Just a short line to let everyone know that I was in Paris last week, not in coma or anything. My main goal was to visit Paris Photo 2009 (One of the biggest commercial photo fairs in Europe) and to photograph at La Defence (A business district)t .
So,...both goals achieved i can say...i've got a shitload of pictures (That i've developed already....Its looking good :) and learned to survive on one Baguette and peanut butter for for days. Some nice storys about the Parisian Art Students, Strikes, Rooftop adventures, Good wine and fighting for a french taxi will follow soon.

After reading a rather amusing and thought provoking article in the newspaper today, i decided that people must have enough of my "comming soon" text on my website. It made me sit down, and focus on my site for a few hours Because, well - it was raining anyway - and i got up very late, so I didnt had much to do other then playing for housewife - something i dont like to do.
Im trying to get a lot of new and old work on my website right now, that means a lot of scanning (and browsing) trough my analog AND digital archrive. (Im actually really proud that I start to build a seriously organized digital archrive of photographs! One external 500 Gig harddrive with nice folders and everything! I wish I could be just as organised with my room!) I hope that hard labor will result in a finished website somewhere next week, but you never know with me.... And also, the new photo's will always be posted here first, so there is not much to worry about anyway. The picture above is from Chicago - I still have tons of stuff that i've never posted before. Maybe I should.
3 photos of Trees
Maybe It is becouse I drank to much Herbal tea recently - maybe not, but the inner hippie in me took over in the last couple of weeks. Apperently I love trees, since more than half of the shots I took with my last roll of film is of trees. It wasnt a concious choise, like most of the themes in my work these days, but It seems that my latest photos (half of them not even posted here) run strange paralel lines with some other people in my class (for example Medea's photos of charlerois) Atleast in a thematic way. (Nature vs. Human control)
But now, while typing this, i look out of the window - and see some of my favourite trees without leafs. They all of the sudden seem like an embarrassing and boring collection of branches. They look as dull as the weather. Not so interesting anymore actually. Maybe I'm not a real tree lover after all? Or is it becouse i've switched to coffee...? Anyway, it leaves me wondering what my own photographic voice is these days, especially with the eye on graduating this year.
